USS Intrepid Navy Ship

Relle Electric was one of many Contractors who were responsible for the USS Intrepid Restoration Project completed in 2006-2008.

Relle’s responsibility was to restore the original lighting fixtures but with current lighting Technology.

There was 2600+ over the 4 Decks of ship. Fixtures were converted from Incandescent to Compact Fluorescent. The Lineal T12 fluorescent converted to T8 Low Mercury lamps. Never compromising the look of the original fixtures in all Museum area’s

The #11 on Port and Starboard side of ships was reconstructed in our shop and new Cold Cathode Lamps was used in place of the old 300 Watt Incandescent..

Relle Electric was a sub-Contractor to Con Edison Solutions who was responsible for the projects design

Project Completion was in the fall of 2008.
